Thursday's Fictions

For his work on Thursday's Fictions, Michael Yezerski won Best Original Song Composed for the Screen at the 2006 APRA-AGSC Screen Music Awards for "Aria" sung by Claire McCarthy. Michael's orchestral score for the film was also a Finalist for two other awards: Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovies and Best Soundtrack Album.  In addition, Thursday's Fictions won the Gold Medal for Excellence - Director's Choice for Artistic Excellence in a Feature Film at the 2006 Park City Film Music Festival, Utah, USA.

Michael Yezerski has collaborated with Director/Choreographer Richard James Allen and The Physical TV Company on three earlier projects: the live dance, The Visitants, created for Dirty Feet Dance Collective, and two short films Breathe and No Surrender.

No Surrender won Best Music for a Short Film in the inaugural 2002 APRA-Australian Guild of Screen Composers Screen Music Awards.  In international competition for Awards for Best Impact of Music in Independent Film at the 2004 Park City Film Music Festival, Utah, No Surrender also won the Gold Medal for Excellence: Audience Favorite in Short Films.
